JANIS SMALL OMIDE, MS, MAC, CSAC, QMHP-A
I'm Janis, a seasoned counselor with a 25-year career that's been dedicated to guiding individuals through the storms of grief, addictions, and emotional upheaval. Having navigated personal losses amidst the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, I've harnessed my professional expertise and personal experiences to cultivate resilience and hope. I'm a Nationally Certified Master Addiction Counselor and a member of NAADAC, with extensive experience working with healthcare workers, military members, and a diverse range of patients/clients.
My post-pandemic life-trials have given me a renewed commitment to helping my peers in healthcare find personal balance and peace amidst the chaos of loss and the demands of their roles. Therefore, my first online course is targeted to this cause:
POST-PANDEMIC GRIEF RECOVERY: Healthcare Workers’ Roadmap to Reclaiming Joy
After a semi-retirement in 2021, I accepted my "next" life-chapter missions:
- to actively pursue my online course business (OhMeDay Coaching);
- to resume my gift for poetry (jso Poetry Podcast); and
- to "restart" my blogging (Counseling On A Shoestring). These projects should keep me busy until I retire permanently (smile)!
These projects should keep me busy until I retire permanently (smile) . . .
It's so nice to have a reason(s) for living!
